Bridgeport Man Busted On Weapons Charges Following Chase, Stratford Police Said

A Bridgeport man was busted by Stratford Police for allegedly throwing a gun out of his vehicle during a police chase, police said.

Eris Hall, 22,  was arrested by Stratford Police around 10 p.m., on Tuesday, March 26, after taking police on a car chase, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

The incident started around  9:36 p.m. on Stratford Avenue near Honeyspot Road and ended on Bruce Avenue, Eannotti said.

 Hall refused to stop for officers and during his attempt to flee he allegedly threw a firearm out of the window of the vehicle, he added.

 Hall had unloaded and dismantled the weapon prior to discarding it, police said.

 The weapon, ammunition and high capacity magazine were recovered by investigating officers.

Hall was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapon in vehicle, illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, tampering with evidence, reckless driving, engaging police in a pursuit, driving without a license and failure to have tail lamps.

He posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 4.
